A: We serve children ages 6 weeks through 12 years.

Q:What are your hours?

A: We are open Mondays-Fridays, 6:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Q:Who is eligible to use the Center?

A: Of course! Our friendly and knowledgeable customer services reps are available to answer your questions 24/7/365.

Q: How do I apply?

A: Applications are available at our front desk 2-3 weeks prior to the priority application deadline listed on our Calendar; they are also available online the same time.

Q: When can I register and how long until I find out if my child is accepted?

Q: What do I need to send with my child every day?

A: If your child is in attendance during the lunch hour, you will need to send a bag lunch with your child. The LADYInc® Learning Center provides milk at lunchtime, snacks and juice. For young children, parents provide diapers and formula.

Q: Do you accept payments from the county/state or other third party payments?

A: Yes, all types of financial assistance are accepted.

Q: Can I make an appointment to see your facilities?

Q: Who will care for my child?

A: In each infant, toddler and school-age classroom, there is a full-time, degreed Lead Teacher. In preschool & kindergarten rooms, there are two Lead Teachers.

Q: What are your staff-to-child ratios?

A: Our staff-to-child ratios are an important factor in determining quality care. Our ratios are as follows:

  • 6 weeks to 12 months 1:2 or 12 months to 18 months 1:3 or 12 months to 3 years 1:3 or 1:4
  • 3 to 5 years 1:5 or 1:6 or Kindergarten (K3-K5) 1:8
  • 1st grade – 12 years  1:12

Q. Who is L.A.D.Y. Inc.® University ?

A. L.A.D.Y. Inc.® University (L.I.U.) is a locally owned and operated full-service childcare and educational provider specializing in the personal care and learning of children six weeks to 12 years old throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

Q. What will my child’s day be like at LADYInc® ?

A. At L.I..U., children will enjoy time to socialize, do homework, have snack and engage in a variety of enrichment activities including active play.

Q. Can I change my child’s LADYInc®  schedule?

A. Yes. Changes can only be made on a monthly basis and two weeks’ notice MUST be given for any and all changes. Changes to your child’s schedule may not be made from one week to the next and days may not be switched (i.e. due to illness, other absence, change in activity schedules, etc.)

Q. What enrichment opportunities will be offered with the LADYInc® program?

A. L.I.U.  program provides additional enrichment activities to our daily schedule such as math, literacy, science, arts and more! When enrolled in the L.I.U. Afterschool program, all PM care students will also have the opportunity to participate in our Global Arts, Music and Dancing as well as Fit4Fun program for no additional cost. These programs meet once a week at each after school site for one hour throughout the school-year.

Q. Where is L.A.D.Y. Inc.® Located?

A. L.A.D.Y. Inc.® is located in the Merrill Park community a predominantly African-American neighborhood on the northwest side in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Q. What are the hours of operation for LADYInc® ?

A. AM care opens at 6:00am until the opening of school (including late openings). PM care opens at school dismissal (including early closings) and is open until 11:00pm.

Q. Does L.A.D.Y. Inc.® offer any financial aid or discounts?

A. A sibling discount of 5% off the lower tuition is offered to families with more than one child enrolled in the program. LADYInc® is approved to participate in the WI Shares Program for those who qualify. Please contact WI Share Program for more information.

Q. Will LADYInc® offer vacation days and snow day coverage?

A. Yes, LADYInc® will offer vacation days and snow day coverage. A separate snow and vacation day registration form is required for participation in any vacation day or snow days throughout the school year. The forms will be available in September. There is a cost of $45 per child per day for all snow and vacation days. Sibling discount and financial aid applies to snow and vacation days for those who qualify.
